Dudmoor House is a much loved family home to Sarah and Richard and their two children; Charlie and Issy. This charming Grade II listed house dates back to 1711 in its current guise although is much older in places. Sarah and Richard bought the property in 2018 after leaving London life behind in search of clean air and more space for their growing family. They had both been to school in Taunton and so this move felt like ‘coming home’ for them both. With care and attention they have breathed new life into this old house making it warm and welcoming for generations to come. The Garden Cottage is a sympathetic conversion of the original Stable block, nowadays the horses are kept down in the paddock instead! Sarah is a keen gardener and forager and can often be found in the Veggie patch tending to her plants. Richard enjoys time, on his own, in the Garage although there always seems to be other things more pressing to do (according to Sarah…!).

Beautiful house. Outstanding accommodation, location and hospitality. Thoroughly recommended for couples and families. Our hosts had thought of everything and there was a lovely pub 3 minutes walk away. Lots of thoughtful touches. Can't wait to return.
