Dudmoor House is a beautiful Ham Stone Grade II Listed house on the edge of the ever popular Kingsbury Episcopi Village. Set in an acre of its own garden and looking out onto its own lawn, this family home feels peaceful and calm whilst not being cut off from village life.

The beautiful stained- glass front door welcomes you as you enter the house leading to a large sitting room and kitchen on either side of the hallway. The kitchen is definitely the heart of this home and invites you to linger at the worktop and chat as meals are prepared, or sit at the kitchen table looking out on to the garden full of trees. We have often received comments from guests about how well equipped the kitchen is; whether you need to bake a cake for a celebration or cook dinner for the masses; you should be able to find all the pots, pans and gizmos you need. We provide a pint of milk on arrival as well as tea bags, ground coffee and sugar during your stay. Our lovely wooden kitchen table comfortably seats 8 and can accommodate more on extra chairs if needs be, we often have 10 around it for family gatherings.

The sitting room also looks out on to the garden through stone mullion windows. With two large sofas, an armchair and window bench seat there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. Both the kitchen and the sitting room have their own log burners for the times when you want to feel really cosy; we provide all paper/logs and ask that you attend to the fires at all times as they are very efficient and of course get very hot.

The rest of the downstairs is comprised of a utility room with separate washing machine and dryer, toilet, boot room and playroom.

We welcome well behaved dogs and ask that you keep them downstairs and off the furniture. The back part of the house; utility room etc can be shut off from the upstairs making it a good place for dogs to spend the night.

Upstairs there are three large double rooms; two with king-sized beds and one with a double. All of the double rooms can accommodate a travel cot for infants. The fourth room has bunk beds in it; ideal for kids sharing or of course adults! We have a couple of inflatable mattresses to allow greater flexibility for larger groups and several of the rooms can be set up with additional beds if needed; please speak to us to understand the options. The hot water system has just been updated along with the central heating so there is plenty of hot water on demand for larger groups and we provide ‘Faith in Nature’ toiletries for use during your stay. There is a shower room and a separate bath room each with their own toilet. This is a family home and as such you will find personal belongings in the all of the rooms.

One thing to be aware of is that there are a couple of low door frames and beams in the downstairs of the property; one of the owners is 6ft 5′ and does stoop to come through a few doorways which he is used to; if you are lucky enough to be tall then ask us if you have any concerns before you book!
